FIFTY SHADES OF BLUE
HOMER SPOKE, MANY YEARS AGO IN HIS WRITTEN WORKS OF THE ODYSSEY, ABOUT THE 'WINE-DARK' SEA. IT IS MY SUSPICION HE HAD NEVER BEEN TO ZANZIBAR.
MANKA is a fashion model from Zanzibar, whom I met by introduction of the talented stylist Venni. As my partner was taking his first kite-lessons, the three of us spend the afternoon on the beach watching the waves coming in. I shared my art, she read me poems. We laughed. We nearly cried from laughter. We laughed again.
Every picture - a different look. Every frame, a different mood. Magnificent.
